Topura America Fastener, Inc. was originally established as TWN Fastener, Inc. in 1987 through the efforts of Topura Co., Ltd., John Wagner Associates, Inc., and Nissho Iwai Corporation (Metal One Corporation) and was based in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In May 2006, Topura Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese fastener manufacturer, became the sole shareholder. On January 1, 2007, we began conducting business as Topura America Fastener, Inc. Production Technician 2:

Complete changeovers and ability to make adjustments.
Complete tool modifications, i.e. roll die, pusher plate, washer assembly unit set up and adjustments, etc.
Complete PM check sheet.
Complete required quality checks.
Quality documentation and paperwork verification.
Pan dumps.
Complete setup approvals.
Proper adjustment and settings of quality sensors.
Fill machines with oil when needed.
Assist in daily 5S activities and housekeeping; complete 5S checksheets.
All tool changes and adjustments, i.e. dies, rails and feeders.
Pull full tubs and complete documentation.
Check out tools from tool room.
Ability to read product drawings.
Fill feeder bowls and retrieve washers from flow rack.
Eliminate the amount of lost parts from conveyors, rollers or chutes.
Eliminate waste. (i.e. scrap, rework, high tool consumption, etc.)
Complete scheduled quality checks of all parts.
Eliminate machine downtime.
Ability to use measurement and test equipment (e.g. micrometer, calipers, optical comparator, etc.).
Material handler and parts washer responsibilities when absent.
Report all quality issues to Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
Follow the production schedule/plan of the Supervisor.
Maintain machines and complete necessary adjustments and set ups efficiently.
Ensure that product quality standards are maintained throughout each manufacturing process.
Knowledge of the department equipment and related tooling.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 2+ years related experience preferred. Mechanical background preferred. Knowledge of cold heading dies, punches, pins and roll thread dies preferred. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, and MRP system) Blueprint reading.

Quality Inspector SUMMARY
Performs mechanical and dimensional inspection of product. Committed to meet or exceed customer expectations for product performance, service and delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assure the quality of finished goods and incoming materials meet the customer requirements.
• Retrieve sample parts from the shop floor and take to inspection.
• Conduct the required tests necessary for the approval of parts utilizing the TAF inspection equipment per the control plan.
• Ensure all necessary production parts are approved to ship to meet customer delivery timing.
• Perform all DAPSTER/PPAP testing per the schedule provided by PPAP coordinator.
• Perform receiving inspection per approved sampling plan.
• Perform product, process and dock audits on daily basis as instructed by the Quality Manager.
• Participates in MSA studies including Gage R&R, linearity and stability on gage families per the schedule or if necessary for PPAP.
• Take corrective action for defective product and procedures.
• Assist Quality Engineer with projects as assigned; perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
• File and maintain all records pertaining to the laboratory operations and sorting operations.
• Enforce company work rules, policies and procedures.
• Ensure that product quality standards are maintained.
• Promote safety and correct unsafe work practices.
• Promote and maintain a clean work environment consistent with 5S practices.
• Participate in and encourage continuous improvement ideas, activities and efforts.
• Responsible to eliminate waste. E.g. scrap, rework, high tool consumption, etc.
• Responds as necessary to customer inquiries that occur.
• Makes prudent use of company supplies and assets.
• Follow and review TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and 2+ years related experience in quality. Must be capable of using basic quality laboratory inspection equipment and able to read and interpret basic drawings, specifications and test procedures.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Gauging and metrology skills, including calipers, pin gauges, micro view, etc. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Visually sort fasteners for defects using samples provided or verbal instruction.
• Place finished parts in area provided and complete all required documentation.

Human Resources/ Safety manager SUMMARY
The broad scope of this position is to provide maximum support to TAF’s long- and short-term business goals by developing policies and directing human resources activities, such as recruitment and selection, training and development; compensation and benefits; employee relations; safety, health and security; and management practices which will develop a skilled, productive work force able to deliver quality products in a timely manner to the customer's satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Administer, maintain company policy as established by the officers of the company
• Review company policy and recommend improvements to the officers of the company.
• Ensure that company procedures comply with Federal and State laws, communicate those procedures to employees, confirm all employee compliance and control documentation.
• Direct the efforts and duties of the HR Administrator and Safety & Training Coordinator.
• Negotiate and administer company liability & property insurance.
• Negotiate and administer employee insurance and benefits to ensure they are competitive in the local market.
• Prepares annual HR department budget as part of management team.
• Liaison with community and government officials including federal and state agencies.
• Reports to officers of the company on all employee issues, turnover rates and countermeasures.
• Coordinates employee training, development and ensures training program is satisfactory to corporate objectives.
• Train employees in Federal and State mandated safety programs.
• Administer employee annual evaluations and reviews progress of all employees.
• Direct and conduct all company-sponsored events.
• Coordinate and publish monthly company newsletter.
• Coordinate and facilitate Topura Support employees’ international transfer plans.
